General conditions

Employees
You are employed in DFDS A/S or in a company in which the Lauritzen Group has a 50 % holding or more and your company may be anywhere in the world. Denmark is the reference/starting point with respect to the general details given in this website. Multiplicity is a general theme - nationality is no limitation.

You have at least 12 months of service in the company - you are qualified to take the course - the company is recommending you for the course.

Grants are not usually awarded while applicants are under the state retraining or special leave schemes, etc.

More than one application may be made for educational/training grants and maximum limits may exceptionally be exceeded. Amounts in DKK are guideline maximums. Individual assessments and cost of living adjustments are made when converting grants outside Denmark into local currencies.

Employee's child(ren)
The father or mother must have at leave one year of service in the company.

Employee's spouse/partner
In general, employees must have at least three years of service in the company for their spouses to be considered for grants.

Former employees 
Applications are basically considered on the basis of need and the latest annual tax statement must be submitted. Generally, former employees must have had at least three years of service but left within the past five years and do not have a regular job. 

Retired employees
Pensioners must generally have retired directly from a job in the Lauritzen Group, where they must have had at least three years of service.

Widow(er)
A deceased employee should have had at least three years of service in the Lauritzen Group in their last job for their spouse/partner to be eligible.
