Retraining, continuity or further education

Such as

• Mechanic to qualified engineer
• Clerical personnel with HHX to BA/BSc
• Electrician to licensed electrician
• Mate/officer to senior officer

Grants: Up to DKK 160,000 @ DKK 40,000 p.a.

Supplementary conditions

To apply for sector-related education/training, you must have at least three years of service in the company and at least five years of service for non-sector related education/training. Typically, it would be impossible to continue your academic education whilst being in employment or your working hours would be cut by at least 1/3 as a result of starting to study.

It could also be because of an occupational injury means you need to retrain or just that you want new challenges. Grants can also be awarded for education/training courses unrelated to the company's business.

FAQs

The Foundation looks with special favour at training that maintains any possible connections to JL companies, such as a rating who trains as a cook. If you are a trainee, two years of service are sufficient. You will need to provide a budget for your course. STX, HHX, HTX, HF and GIF are not regarded as further education or conversion courses.

Part time employees / D2D

If you are not employed full time and if you can meet the above requirements, you can max be awarded half of the amount to above. That means up to DKK 80,000 of DKK 20,000 per year.
