Retraining, conversion and further education in Denmark or abroad

Grants are awarded for additional practical training or academic education, such as:
 

• Clerical personnel with HHX to BA/BSc
• Electrician to licensed electrician
• Mate/officer to senior officer
• Social/healthcare assistant to nurse
• Teaching assistant to teacher
• Bilingual secretary to BA (Ling)
• Mechanic to qualified engineer

Grants: Up to DKK 160,000 @ DKK 40,000 p.a.

Supplementary conditions
 

The marriage/relationship must have lasted for more than three years (and be still ongoing at application date). It is not possible for education/training courses to be attended while the applicant has a regular job or that starting studying means the applicant has to go from full time work to at least 1/3.

The need for education/training could also be because of an occupational injury or the desire for new challenges. Grants can also be awarded for non-commercial education/training. Grants are not usually awarded while applicants are under the state retraining or special leave schemes, etc.
