About us

Lauritzen Fonden is a commercial foundation supporting non-profit activities in particular aimed at vulnerable children and young people. Our business activities are grouped in Lauritzen Fonden Holding, which manages assets worth more than DKK 10 billion in the companies J. Lauritzen, DFDS and other investments, with the purpose of working for Denmark’s reputation by promoting and developing Danish shipping, especially within international shipping and of Danish enterprise in general.

Our vision

We want to support children and youth’s chances to be able to become active and contributing citizens.

Our objective?

We want to secure that more children and youth are able to become included and contributing citizens in Denmark. Projects and initiatives supporting those objectives are favored.

How we work?

By being proactive and risk willing we want to secure new knowledge, join in new partnerships and facilitate network and new collaborations across public sectors, civic society, NGO’s, organizations, associations and other foundations.

Lauritzen Fonden was established by Ivar and Knud Lauritzen and their sister Anna Lønberg-Holm. It was the year of 1945 and the establishment marked the 50th anniversary of the “Dampskibsselskabet Vesterhavet”…
